The artists I’ve spotlighted on 2 Guys 1 Review thus far (click here to check out the amazing talent of SaraH Con Hache) (and you can click here to check out the artwork of Guy Kidd) are both fantastic talents I was able to find through Instagram – with much more to come!  But today I wanted to show off the talent of my friend Jamie Fay.  In typing this I’m trying to figure out how long I’ve known Jamie but I’m not even sure anymore.  I met him sometime after I started writing for Newsarama and I’m sure happy to count him as one of my friends.

Jamie’s artwork knocks me out (though I will add in right away that his colorist collaborator on his pieces Danielle Alexis St. Pierre truly makes his work even more astonishing) and he has such a knack for bring gorgeous characters to life in such stunning detail.  I always find it funny that when some YouTube site does a video on superheroes one of Jamie’s pieces usually pop up in them.  He also draws the book Neverminds for Drumfish Productions written by Rich Bernatovech (who I’ve covered previously with his book Sentinels and his webcomic Kowa).

I knew I had to cover Jamie’s artwork when last week he posted this piece onto my Facebook wall.

Harbinger is one of my favorite comics of all time and Faith Herbert is one of my favorite characters of all time.  Having this pop up on my wall (and having Jamie think of me when he posted it) brought me such immense joy.  I’m so glad that after so many years, Faith is really getting her due in comics and it is well deserved that her place in comic history has finally been secured.  This is just lovely.

Ariel the Little Mermaid.  Love the water coming up here.

Batgirl.  And who doesn’t love a redhead?

Pretty sure that if you are a comic book artist you have to draw Wonder Woman.  And why not?  She’s been a comic book icon for over sixty years.  I love this – especially the coloring on the lasso.

Here’s a character who I always thinks never gets her due.  I love Dazzler.  I love both of her looks (the other being 1980 rollerskating Dazzler).  I really like the look here of her shooting her hand “as a gun” with the other hand being the support.

Another X character – Bobby Drake AKA Iceman.  It’s been a couple years since I’ve read a X-book on a consistent basis so I’m unfamiliar with his particular costume.  I will say that the costume (and the art) is badass.

I think this is my third favorite of the artwork I’m posting up.  Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series is one of comics most celebrated books and Death is perhaps more well known than Morpheus.  She’s comics’ original goth gal.  She looks gorgeous here and I really like the skull.

Suicide Squad might not have been the best movie in the universe but no one can deny that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn really became an instant icon.  What I really love about this is how dirty her costume looks.  Like she was just in a fight, beat the crap out of someone, and she still has a smile on her face.

A Brie Larsen Captain Marvel.  Who isn’t excited to finally see Carol Danvers on the big screen!?!!?!?

Here’s Agents of SHIELD’s Mockingbird.  Never dug the show but totally dig Adrienne Palicki.  Who doesn’t love her?  Seriously if you haven’t seen Women In Trouble or Elektra Luxx…rectify that.  This is a great piece of art and, once again, I love Danielle’s coloring here.  Just makes Jamie’s art POP.

A look at the Evan Peters version of Quicksilver.  Truly the best part of the last two X films (perhaps the only good thing about Apocalypse IMO).

My second favorite piece of art by Jamie: FIRESTAR.  Yes it is because she is one of my favorite characters.  Yes it is because she is a redhead.  Yes it is because this piece of art is stunning.  Yes I can look at this all day.

I wanted to add two other pics which I just think are cool:

Here’s is Star Trek actress Marina Sirtis holding Jamie’s drawing of her as Counselor Deanna Troi.  AND…

Here’s Jamie himself with Star Trek actress Denise Crosby with Jamie’s rendition of her character Tasha Yar.

Dig Jamie’s work?  Here’s where you can find him on the interwebs:

And if you are out there Jamie…you and Danielle should tackle Katt one of these days.  Just sayin’.  You’d do her some justice.
