That’s a whole lotta bad!  Leading the way was Zoolander No. 2 with 9 nominations though Batman v Superman is right behind with 8.  Dirty Grandpa snagged 6 with Gods of Egypt, Hillary’s America, and Independence Day: Resurgence all took 5 nominations.

I don’t get Nicolas Cage in Snowden – it was such a small part and it wasn’t bad nor over the top.  It’s puzzling.

Batman v Superman did not get the love.  I can totally see Jesse Eisenberg for his horrible performance as Lex Luthor – but I REALLY dug Ben Affleck as Batman.

Aubrey Plaza is nominated for Dirty Grandpa and that was a HORRIBLE movie – but I thought she was so funny in that movie.  She was the one shining part of the bad film – her horny college kid was damn funny.

Tyler Perry nominated once again for Madea.  I’m pretty sure every time he plays Madea he’ll be nominated.  I didn’t see Boo! but I imagine it is horrible.

Jared Leto gets a nom as The Joker.  I liked this Joker…different than everything else done previously.  Worth the nom?  I guess many thought so.

I have yet to see the Independence Day sequel or Gods of Egypt so I don’t know how bad either truly were.  Alex Proyas is a GREAT director but it looks like he just has been picking some bad films.  Can we get Dark City 2?

We’ll all find out who the “winners” are on February 25, 2017 – one day before the Academy Awards.
